![]() Oh and I'm in no way connected or involved with the development, I literally just heard of it two days ago by accident. Monitoring CPU, motherboard, HDD temperature, CPU &. Not just for managing the speed, it has many other features embedded in the software. If anyone wants to mess with their fans to have a cool and quiet PC, look at this tool! HWiNFO is a free fan speed controller software for Windows. It's very lightweight too using just between 0.1-0.3% CPU and 10mb RAM. ![]() It basically allows you to set any controllable fan in your PC to be controlled by a fan-curve based on any sensor and the most invaluable thing, you can actually tie your fans to your GPU temperature! This is super handy as GPUs can still be pretty dependent on good airflow unlike CPUs where a decent beQuiet! or Noctua fan can basically cool almost any CPU silently regardless of case airflow. Looking for replacements I came across a tool on Github simply called FanControl: For example it always claims that my CPU temperature is about 10-15☌ lower than it actually is making controlling my fans pretty frustrating, especially to get GPU heat out of the case. However, you cannot use the application to control the colors on your RGB fans. This simple but elegant application controls all your fans, including case fans. This application was developed by a single developer, Remi Mercier. Any issue regarding hardware compatibility entirely depends on the following projects. I know all mainboard manufacturers have their own software and also UEFI fan controls but atleast in my case with my GIGABYTE mainboard I found the fan control situation pretty lacking as the sensors GIGABYTE offers are wildly inaccurate. FanControl is one of the best free fan control applications on the market. Fan Control is basically a UI on top of existing hardware libraries. I figured I would make a thread for this as we have quite a big gaming PC community here and I just came across this nifty tool.
